Beardcam #10

Beardcam #10Pas très populaire ma dernière photo. J’ai pensé (ou plutôt ma famille a pensée) que ca serait bien d’avoir une photo un peu plus normal. Alors voici le résultat. Barbu n’est-ce pas ?

Climate Summit Opens in Montreal

A 12 day conference has just started in the city of Montreal, the subject: “Global Warming and the Kyoto Agreement”. Of course, the worst country, pollution-wise, is not taking actions because it “could harm development and economic growth”. I think this is incredible, seeing as the global warming is a very very serious problem and that we know that it is caused by all of the pollution created by industrialism.

But when you think about, it’s not too hard to see why they wouldn’t want to be part of it… It would be way too much work to stay on top of all us and try crushing us, while taking care of our earth. It’s scary to think that they are so close to us. It’s like having a mass murderer as your neighbour, you never know when he’ll hit again and who’s going to be his next target.

Beardcam #9

Beardcam #9Wow.

Napoleon Dynamite [7.8 out of 10]

Napoleon Dynamite 2004

Director: Jared Hess
Wrriten by: Jared Hess and Jerusha Hess.

A 2004 movie directed by the very young (He was born in 79!) and, from what I have seen, talented director Jared Hess. As far as I know, this was the second movie he directed and it is very good. His first movie was something called Peluca in 2003. The dark humour and the ‘amazing acting’ from Joh Heder as Napoleon Dynamite. I really enjoyed this movie and recommend it to anybody who can put up with dark comedy about a kid in high school who has a hard time being popular and is trying to deal with family problems at the same time. It’s quite good and it deserves a high 7!

Length : 82 minutes

24 – Season 4 [9 out of 10]

24 Season 4Before I say anything. This is the first season of 24 that I have been watching, and I even missed the first couple of episode in it too. So I do not want to say too much about this season before I can watch the whole thing and comment properly. But this was one of the best shows I have watched in a long time. I couldn’t just watch one at a time. My roomate Clint had to stop me from putting a second show right away so that we could pace ourselves and not finish the whole thing in a week.

It’s too bad I can’t compare it to the other seasons yet. I am really looking forward to watch the other seasons and see how this story has evolved to what I just saw. It was pretty amazing. I cannot wait to see the next season. It starts on January 15th and 16th with a wooping four hours opening show that will be shown on two days. So we have to be patient until then, but we will have a good four hours opening show to watch in a couple of months. Can’t wait.

And for those of you who think it was foolish to watch season 4 before the other ones, well I am sorry, and I do too. I didn’t think I would get into it that much and so I agreed to watch an episode, but then I got so into it that before I knew it I had already watched 4 or 5 episodes and needed to watch another and another and another. You get the picture. But I will watch the previous seasons when Bonnie gets here. Hopefully by then I will have so much time on my hands that I will be able to sit and watch 3 or 4 in a row with Bonnie. But we’ll see about that.
