On the menu for this week’s Photo Monday are some of my best shots from the last leg of the 7th Tour de Bloc. It was held at Toronto’s newest climbing facility: True North. The gym is really impressive! Big spaces, lots of good angles, and very cool textures. It’s definitely worth a visit if you climb in Toronto! The four final problems were set on a huge, spectator-friendly bouldering wall (so cool), and this time around Dustin Curtis teamed up with the tour’s head route-setter, Jody, to set some of the most spectacular problems yet. See for yourself…
Women’s Open Result:
- Bonnie de Bruijn
- Iyma Lamarche
- Marine Cusa
Men’s Open Result:
- Tash Zielinski
- Ayo Sopeju
- Eric Sethna

Bonnie almost sticking the last hold on problem #4. Mind you, this doesn’t properly represent her winning performance (she flashed the first 3 problems!), but it’s a cool shot.

Superman! Again, Ayo did superbly in the finals.

Tash easily finishing up problem #4. This shot is not extra-ordinary, but I wanted to include a shot of Tash in this post because he climbed an amazing final round! In fact, he climbed it so quickly that I couldn’t get a better shot than this one… oh and did you notice the cast on his right ankle?

Chris flying on problem #3. Muzzillo is one of the most chill climbers – and so strong! (He placed 5th).
There are more shots on flickr. Make sure you stop by.
Cheers,
